makingupachangingmind said: QUESTIONS FOR RACHEL: 1) WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BREAD? DO YOU LIKE TOAST? WHY/WHY NOT? 2) WHAT IS IT LIKE TO LIVE IN ENGLAND? IS IT COLD THERE IN THE SUMMERS? DO YOU HAVE OTTERS? WE HAVE OTTERS! Hope you will answer my questions becasue I am a big fan of yours. Love Emmy age 5 and a half

Dear Emmy, thank you for your questions.

Yes, I love bread. I love all carbs but bread in particular is my favourite. I like seeded breads. Also I like buying batch loaves. Because batch makes me giggle. And yes, toast, I like toast. Toast is gooooooood.

Living in England is good, I don’t think I’d want to live anywhere else, really. Not permanently, anyway. Most of the time in summer it is around 12-24 degrees. Sometimes we have a “heatwave” which means it’s hotter than 24 degrees for more than a day. A lot of the time it rains, though. But if it doesn’t rain for a while, we have a hosepipe ban because of drought, and it means you can’t use your hosepipe to water the plants or wash your car. But if you are like me and don’t have a garden (or wash the car) then it doesn’t really matter.

Today I got sunburnt in the middle of London. It was 18 degrees according to my phone.

WE HAVE OTTERS! When I was studying for my TV production degree, I interviewed the staff at the nature reserve close by, and I asked one, “what’s you’re favourite animal here?” and he said, “ooh, it’s gotta be the otters!” in a really camp voice, and I’m afraid otters make me think of him first, and not Mr Cumberbatch. I’m sorry. Otters are cute though.

Make sure you pay attention at school and eat all your vegetables, there’s a good girl.

makingupachangingmind replied to your post: how do you usually spend your sundays? when do you get up? and what is your general wake up routine, not just on sundays, but on work days as well?

You iron. Every. Day. Every day? Oh. My. Fuck. I don’t when own a freaking iron…

Yeah, but only what we are about to wear that day. I hate ironing so I only do it when I really have to!
